Overview
The Recruiting & Retention (RECREN) Officer serves as the unit's focal point for inspiring prospective members to join Civil Air Patrol. As the principal officer overseeing retention programming, the Recruiting & Retention Officer works closely with the unit Activities Officer and Public Affairs Officer to facilitate and market Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs to sustain member morale.

Responsibilities

Recruiting of new members into Civil Air Patrol

Ensuring new cadets are introduced into the Cadet Detachment in preparation for Basic Cadet Training

Screening prospective members for advanced promotion eligibility and/or preferred qualifications for desired duty positions

Onboarding new senior members (and new cadet sponsor members) to begin Level 1 training and select a "career path"

Monitoring squadron members coming due for renewal and working with such members to renew their Civil Air Patrol membership

Sustaining member morale through Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities

Cooperation with the Public Affairs Officer to support the squadron's marketing and advertisement efforts
