Communications Officer

Overview

The Communications Officer provides support for the unit's Communications-Electronics (C-E) needs, to include ensuring that communications infrastructure—to include radio communications and web-based technologies—are emplaced to effectively conduct unit operations. 

 

Reports to

Deputy Commander

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Communications-Electronics equipment assigned to the unit

  • Distribute, collect, and supervise members' use of Communications-Electronics equipment during operations

  • Supervise and direct the Information Technology Officer to ensure the sustainability of unit IT infrastructure

  • Provide members with radio communications training in accordance with CAP programs/procedures
