Overview

The Aerospace Education Officer oversees the unit's Aerospace Education (AE) program, which supports Civil Air Patrol's mission to enthuse members and the local community in aviation and aerospace subject matter. CAP's AE program also facilitates its Cyber and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) sub-missions. 

Reports to

Deputy Commander

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the unit's Aerospace Education program

• Promote and develop enthusiasm for aviation, aerospace, cyber, and STEM subject matter within the squadron

• Liaise with external organizations in support of Civil Air Patrol's external AE missions

• Support CAP's Aerospace Education awards programs

• Ensure unit compliance with CAP AE directives and program requirements
